Let’s be real -- the Tea Party is out of touch with the needs of women and has no understanding of basic biology. After the absolutely ridiculous comments that Todd Akin made over the weekend, we thought that they couldn’t be any more insensitive to the needs of women. But, we were wrong.
Yesterday, in an absolutely pathetic attempt to defend his colleague, Congressman Steve King said that, in his experience, he wasn’t aware of young rape or incest victims becoming pregnant. Yeah. He said that. Steve King and Todd Akin are both members of the radical Tea Party that Adam Hasner thinks is going to “save our country in 2012.”
By the time the GOP convention starts, we want to have 20,000 people who denounce Hasner's anti-women agenda. If you don’t think Adam Hasner’s divisive views on women are right, click here to let him know. >>>>
When it comes to women, there isn’t much that King and Adam Hasner DON’T agree on. That is why we need more strong progressive women in Washington.
Hasner’s anti-women record is a mile wide. He regularly states at campaign events that he supports defunding Planned Parenthood. He also supported a “personhood” bill that could have made common forms of contraception and birth control illegal in Florida.
